The biotope inventory, compiled by the Institute for Plant Physiology at the University of Vienna, contains the complete inventory of the biotopes of all 6 communities in the Grosses Walsertal. The individual biotopes are described and evaluated by conservation experts and conservation measures are suggested. The inventory is the basis for the evaluation of the significance of biotopes in planning schemes. Comprehensive descriptions and documentation are also required in order to be able to pursue and provide evidence for later alterations.
