A launch event in January 2006 to which all business people in the valley were invited, the Future Conference at the end of March 2006 and intensive preparations by a core group all preceded the foundation of the Grosses Walsertal Enterprise Association on 30th June 2006. The association has the following aims:

• Implementation of the development aims of the Biosphere Park Grosses Walsertal
• Promotion of the market position of the members of the association, in particular through the organisation and carrying out of joint marketing measures, the exchange of knowledge and the exploitation of synergies
• Safeguarding existing businesses and jobs according to economic opportunities
• Improved conditions for new businesses wishing to start up and promotion of apprenticeship places
