On the 10th November 2000 the Grosses Walsertal was accepted into the worldwide network of biosphere parks. Since then, countless enthusiastic local people and project partners have turned the biosphere park philosophy into reality. Numerous projects have sprung up with the motto "Living and working in harmony with nature".

Am 10. Nevember 2000 wurde das Große Walsertal in das weltweite Netz der Biosphärenparks aufgenommen. Seit damals setzen zahlreiche Personen aus dem Großen Walsertal mit ihrem Engagement die Biosphärenpark-Philosophie in die Tat um. Unter dem Motto: "Leben und wirtschaften im Einklang mit der Natur" sind Projekte, Kooperationen und Initiativen entstanden zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung der Region.
